Coaching works best when the boundaries are clear. Here is the short version. A full written agreement is signed before we begin.
Coaching is not therapy or health care
Life coaching with Jake Ferguison is not psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any mental, emotional, or medical condition. It is not a substitute for care from a licensed mental health professional or physician. Coaching is forward focused and goal oriented.
No guaranteed outcome
Coaching can be powerful, and the results depend on you and your circumstances. No specific outcome, result, or improvement is promised or guaranteed. Any stories or examples reflect individual experiences, not a promise of similar results.
No relationship is formed by this website
Reading this site, sending the contact form, or emailing does not create a coaching or client relationship. A coaching relationship begins only after a free intro call and a signed coaching agreement.
Confidentiality
Coaching conversations are private and treated with care. Because coaching is not a licensed health service, it does not carry the legal confidentiality protections, such as HIPAA, that therapy does. The full agreement explains how your information is handled, and the limits.
Not for emergencies
Coaching is not crisis care, and this website is not monitored around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, call 911, or see get help now.
Payment and scheduling
The intro call is free. After that, coaching is a free intro call to start. after that, coaching is a flat 75 dollars per hour. no packages required and no surprises. Payment is due at the time of each session unless agreed otherwise. Please give reasonable notice to reschedule. Details are in the written agreement.
Governing terms
These general terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. The signed coaching agreement is the controlling document if anything here and the agreement differ.
